Police All-Woman Tirupur North arrested a 24-year-old farmer on Friday for marrying a 17-year-old girl.
Two Women Matchmakers, who arranged the wedding of a little girl in Dharapuram on June 28, was also arrested by Guruvayurappan Nagar in Tirupur.
Members of Childline (1098) received information about the marriage of small children and conducted an investigation.
Meanwhile, the Sivakami Social Welfare Department officer, 55, filed a complaint with the All-Woman Police of Tirupur North on Friday.
