New Delhi: The agitating farmer union to revoke the three central agricultural laws and even the RSS-Linked group, Bhartiya Kisan Sangh (BKS), on Wednesday pitched for “law guarantees” to procure all minimum plants (MSP).
They marked the vanity from the overall training including the announcement of support price if a large number of farmers did not benefit.
Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) – The platform with trade unions pioneering ongoing protests – also called an increase as “inadequate”, said MSP Hike will even be “less inflation”.
It is said that the increase does not take into account the real comprehensive costs (called C2) which includes leases and interest containing land owned and fixed capital assets.
BKS, on the other hand, protests sit in more than 500 districts throughout the country to suppress the demand for “law guarantees” to procure all plants with remunerative prices.
Sangh, who holds its protest according to the pre-schedule plan on this issue before the MSP announcement, in its memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the district collector said that the cost of production input has increased substantially, but MSP could not see similar increases.
Although the commission for agriculture and price (CACP) takes into account all the cost of input and the value of family labor which is calculated along with the effect of inflation when it arrives at a cost (called A2 + FL), it does not apply to C2 which many farmers.
The group is the actual “comprehensive cost”.
“Government claims for crop diversification efforts are not seen in the increase in MSP because of return on the cost of production in wheat and the same mustard (100%) when in pulses, which require encouragement, it is lower than wheat (79% in Lentil and 74% in grams) .
In Safflower, it is 50% and in Barley only 60%, “said Sudhir Panwar, Lucknow-based agricultural expert and former member of the Uttar Pradesh planning commission.
Referring to ‘Returns’ in the case of wheat and wheat where the MSP increase was lower than the increase in production costs, Panwar, said, “MSP of Rabbi plants for 2022-23 announced by the government will state the aim that is declared to increase farmers’ income and plant diversification.
“SKM confirms that the MSP stated by the government will remain on paper for most farmers without legal guarantees.
“It must be noted that a large number of farmers, especially in the state where the ‘bathing’ system is weak, must sell their plants under MSP.
Legal guarantees for MSP have become old demand for farmers, and one of SKM’s main demands,” Morcha said in A statement.
It is said, “The government also imitates the term ‘comprehensive cost’ which is always used to refer to C2 production costs.
As indicated by the Agriculture Union since 2018, the government openly deceived farmers and nations by using a lower cost size (A2 + FL ) and claim that it provides MSP as a comprehensive cost.
