Nagpur: Vidarbha on Wednesday reported a 6465 case, a large spike in 1799 from 4,666 cases on Tuesday.
Overall test positive rate, which is approximately 20% on Wednesday, rising to 24%.
Nagpur District reported 3,296 new cases, including 2,676 from Nagpur city alone, with test positivity rate of 26%.
It is an indicator that the area is now moving quickly to reach the top of the third wave which is dominated by omicron virus of SARS-CoV virus-2.
The increase in deaths has led to other concerns against Vidarbha.
While Nagpur reported five deaths, all incidental findings in the last 24 hours; Yavatmal and Buldhana Covid reported the death of their first 19 in the third wave.
Wardha also reported the death on Wednesday, taking its toll Covid 19th January to 38.
In Buldhana, a three-month-old girl who died of complications also found some positive Covid-19.
It is expected that the peak will be reached when more than 30% of the samples tested positive start.
Wardha (37%) and Akola (33%) reported the highest rate of positivity on Wednesday.
Now, Nagpur has 16 242 patients in care, with more than 12,000 of them in home insulation.
In Vidarbha too, most of the patients are in home isolation.
Most of those hospitalized are senior citizens and people with comorbidities.
The number of patients under treatment has reached 30,000 now.
Almost all districts have approximately 1,000 patients in care.
Although the amount of recovery is also increasing every day, the recovery rate continues to fall.

Buldhana: a three-month-old girl who suffered several health complications since birth died on Tuesday.
He tested positive covid-19 as well, making it the first death for the district in the current wave.
Overall, 275 of the 2,086 tests resulted in positive while 97 patients recovered.

Gondia: Of the 989 tests carried out in the last 24 hours, 156 to be positive.
Daily recovery count is 187.
Now, 996 patients were in care.
Gadchiroli: 201 new cases were reported from the 925 tests while 108 patients recovered.
Now, the district has 831 active cases.
Bhandara: Of the 1,979 tests in the last 24 hours, 248 to be positive.
Now, the district has reported 61 408 so far.
With 77 recovery in the last 24 hours, the total reached 59 383.
Now, 891 patients were in care.
