Patna: Head of Bihar Minister Nith Kumar said on Thursday asking the Road Construction Department (RCD) officials to track sustainable construction work from all Mega Road projects, bridges and highways and resolve it within the specified period of time.
While leading a meeting to review progress in various mega roads, bridges and highways through video conferencing from the ‘Sankalp’ hall at CM Residence, he then asked officials to maintain quality in all work.
It was a first cm review meeting after he entered the house isolation to be positively tested for Covid-19 on January 10.
Speaking at the meeting, said Nitish, “some roads and bridges are being built throughout the state to provide easy road connectivity of the people.
Construction work is happening on a different road and highway projects.
All of these projects must be completed within the specified period of time so people will have more convenience in movement from one to another.
Tourists visiting Bihar will also benefit.
“CM also asked RCD officials to accelerate work to increase road connectivity in various fields as proposed in the ‘Sulabh Samparka’ scheme in under the program ‘when nischay – part-2’.
Contacted by telephone, RCD Minister Nitin Nabin said that CM was informed about the latest status in all Mega projects at the meeting.
“After a thorough review of various projects, CM asked to restart the construction works of Bakhtiaryarpur – Tajpur Bridge over the Ganges River and Sattadphat Bridge above the river river.
According to CM suggestions, the current department will send revised estimates for the bridge project that is incomplete .
After getting a cabinet nod, the works will be accelerated, “Nabin said to this newspaper.
“CM told us to complete the project within the specified time period and also ensured quality maintenance,” said Minister of RCD for hours after a crucial meeting.
Previously, additional head secretary (road construction) Pratyaya Amrit, through the presentation, informs CM about the latest status of important projects.
He provided detailed information about the progress made at the Sattar Ghat bridge in the Gandak River, the Bakhtiarpur project – Tajpur, JP Ganga Path and Meethapur for the cargygyi flyover.
Amrit also informed CM about sustainable works on Jalan Bihta-Sarmera, Atal Path, Meetethapur-Mahuli High Road Project, Bridge of Six Lane Kachchi Dargah-linkur on the Ganges River.
He also told CM about the ‘Sulabh Samparka’ scheme under the program ‘when Nischay – Part-2’.

CM Main Secretary Kumar Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary of Amir Subhani, Secretary of Secretary CM Kumar, CM Secretary, Anupam Kumar was present at the meeting while the RCD Minister Nitin Nabin, Pratyaya Amrit and Bihar Rajya Pul Nigam Pankaj Kumar Pal Chairperson and other senior senior officials were connected to Meeting through video conferencing.
