Faster, higher, stronger and now ‘together’, IOC added the fourth Olympic motto

Tokyo: Olympic motto Diamandemen “faster, higher, stronger – together” during the International Olympic Committee session here on Tuesday because the world awaits the Tokyo game that was hit by a pandemic starting on July 23.
After the Hyphen was added to the previous motto, which consisted of three Latin words – Citius, Altius, Forus, translating to “faster higher than stronger” in English.
The proposal to include a shared word was made by President IOC Thomas Bach, which was supported by the Body Executive Board (EB) in April.
Bach suggests moto must be “faster, higher, stronger – together” in response to the Covid-19 crisis.
“I made this proposal to express this solidarity need to be faster, to be able to aim higher, to be stronger, for this we need together, that means we need solidarity,” said Bach in March in March.
Moto now read ‘Citius, Alusus, Forus – Communis’ in Latin.
