Father defeated the boy to death in S Delhi; held

New Delhi: A five-year-old boy was beaten to death allegedly by his father in the South Sarai Delhi area after he found him playing games on the phone and did not study, said the police on Friday.
The Father has been arrested, they said.
On Thursday, the Neb Sarai police station received information from Max Hospital Saket that Gyan Pandey aka Utkorksh, a resident of the Narayana apartment, was taken to the hospital for treatment where he was declared dead, police said.
When he reached the hospital and obtained a Medico-legal report, the police found that the child was brought by his mother in an emergency around 10pm in an unconsciousness, they said.
The boy’s body bears the early signs on the right side of his neck, bruises in both hands, feet, and other parts of the body, the police said.
When asked about a sign of injury, the boy’s parents did not provide any information, the doctor said, according to the police.
On Friday, a helpline caller child told them that Utkarsh’s father had beat him and that he died on his way to the hospital, a senior police officer said.
The police asked the neighbors from the deceased who also said that the ordinary children beat him.
Then, when he was interrogated, the defendant was identified as Aditya Pandey (27), claimed his crime, deputy commissioner of the Police (South) Bentia Mary Jaiker.
The boy’s body was preserved at AIIMS Bodies for Post Mortem.
After inspection by the crime team in place, a case below the 302 (murder) was registered against the defendant and he was arrested, police said.
During interrogation, Pandey, who supplied milk to make a living, said that when he returned home after work on Thursday around 6pm, he saw his son playing games on the telephone instead of learning and police said.
He was angry and began beating children with wooden sticks, they said.
