Hyderabad: Bathinda Hanuman Das, 47, a private teacher, struggled for his life in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Srikara Hospital in Secunderabad after the Critical Sutaining injury in a drunken crime accident.
On Friday, Sai Nikhil Reddy, a technical student, crashed into his car to a watershed bicycle in Ghatkesar.
The accident occurred when the watershed went to Edulabad Village.
His wife, Neeranjani, who traveled with him, died in place.
The police were ensured that Reddy was very drunk while driving and immediately after an accident, he allegedly tried to escape before the local residents arrested him.
Kalyan Chand (22), Das’s son, now runs the pillar to be charged to get funds for the treatment of his critical injured father.
“My father has only 3 lakh medical insurance.
The bill is expected to cross 15 lakh.
He suffered severe brain damage and some broken bones in his left hand and left leg,” Chand Toi said.
Chand and his sister Mahesh Good (19) are now very worried because they are not sure how they will pay the bills that exist, especially their tuition fees.
Apart from all this, when Reddy and his family members have offered him the settlement, Chand refused the offer.
He said he only wanted justice.
Chand chases the last year of BCOM while Mahesh is in his first year with the same course.
In addition, Chand has grieved from his grandmother’s death after he gave up on Covid-19 earlier this year.
The police have registered a case below the 304a section (causing death from negligence) and 337 (endangering life) IPC.
DAS family members also demanded that the police register the case below Section 304 (II) IPC (guilty murder did not amount to murder).
The doctor said that the watershed was still critical and for the support of the ventilator when he continued to vomit due to a severe head injury.
“Even if my father survives, the doctor isn’t sure if he can live a normal life.
We don’t know the way forward,” said an emotional chand.
