Mumbai: Suits the defamation submitted by NCB officers Sameer Father Wankhede Dhyandev is an attempt to cover the illegal of his son, Nawab State Minister Malik told the Bombay High Court on Tuesday.
“I am a NCP spokesman, a national political party, and in my capacity as a civil servant and public representative, while (AN) MLA, I have tried to expose the illegality carried out by the Plaintiff’s son, who is also a public servant,” said Malik In the answer to Dhyandev Wankhede coat (72).
The High Court has asked Malik to submit an answer on Tuesday and have posted a trial for Wednesday, Rosy Sequeira reported.
Malik stated that when he had produced proof of substantial material to support his claim, Wankhede had not produced evidence to contradict it and “failed” to show how his statements and comments were slandering.
Urging HC to ignore the lawsuit on the doorstep, Malik said Wankhede tried to reduce freedom of speech “used by the defendant (Malik) for public good”.
