New Delhi: Leader LJP Chirag Pashwan said on Tuesday that his late father Ram Vilalas Paswan at his residence in New Delhi for more than three decades was a party’s love symbol for the leader and signaled his efforts to look after the house under control.
As a member of parliament he would not do anything that was considered encroachment or violations of the law, Chirag Paswan told PTI, noting that government regulations did not allow the residence of being officially converted into a museum or warning.
“Until now the government has allowed me to stay here.

The young leader, whose father was considered as one of the highest Dalit leaders, said he would never support anything that contradicted the law and confirmed that the party planned to install his father’s bust or statue in each district in the country.
The Ministry of Development Urban has issued an initial notice for emptying the residence immediately after the death of Ram Vilalas Paswan, but the family has been allowed to stay there for now after Chirag Paswan took a problem with senior government facilities, said the source.
Residence in Janpath, where Ram Vilalas Paswan lived for more than 32 years until his death last year, was allocated to the Ashwini Vaishnaw Union Minister.
Because a lot of controversy in the past on efforts by many families of famous leaders to maintain official residence after their deaths, new rules have been applied at the bar that converts these houses into a warning.
