Gurgaon: A 40-year-old prison warden who supposedly targeted homes of policemen in various areas of Haryana, such as Gurgaon, Faridabad, Hisar, Kaithal and Jindh, has been detained by the Gurgaon police accountable for burglary.
Jasvinder Singh, now published at Nimka prison in Faridabad, constantly wore his official Travels uniform when committing custody, cops said.
He turned to crime to finance his medication and gaming habits.
Initially from Sirsa, Jasvinder combined ceremony in 2003 and dwelt with his spouse and 10-year-old son in his official home within the Nimka prison premises.
He began burgling locked homes of policemen at 2019.
A year after, he had been detained for allegedly committing custody in the home of a cop at Kaithal district.
After spending half a year in prison, he declared responsibility.
Up to now, he’s committed more than a dozen thefts, authorities said.
On December 3 final year, Rakesh Kumar of this Gurgaon police registered a complaint in the Civil Lines police station because of thieving in his official home.
“I moved from town together with my entire family on November 25.
In my return on December 2, I discovered that the lock of the principal door was busted.
Money and jewelry were lost in the alimirah,” he explained.
The Gurgaon police began investigating the situation.
After assessing the footage of CCTV cameras of this area, the cops seen Jasvinder at the region on the afternoon of the offense.
After almost half a year of evaluation, the offense of Sector 17 eventually nabbed Jasvinder in the Faridabad prison on Monday.
Authorities have regained Rs 1.11 lakh from his possession.
ACP (offense ) Preet Pal Sangwan stated the accused made it a point to put on his official apparel which bears similarity to police uniform in the time of committing crime.
“During interrogation, he advised him he was used to target just locked homes of policemen in police traces.
Because of his khakhi uniform, he can quickly move in and from the authorities lines with no suspicion.” “Additionally, he had been seen close to a locked home, nobody suspected him.
Once inside, he’d steal just money and jewelry before tripping,” Sangwan explained, including that Jasvinder was made at a courtroom Tuesday and proceeded six-day remand for custodial interrogation.
