New Delhi: Former Minister of Union and Congress leader P Chidamabaram said on Friday that the government’s decision to attract three new agricultural laws was encouraged by fear of elections.
“What cannot be achieved by democratic protests can be achieved by fear of choosing it to come!,” Said the former Minister of Finance in a tweet.
“By the way, it is a big victory for farmers and for the unshakable Congress Party in opposition to agricultural law,” Chidambaram added.
Previously, aimed at the nation on the occasion of Teacher Nanak Jayanti, the Prime Minister said the three agricultural laws for the benefit of farmers but “we cannot convince parts of the farmers despite the best efforts”.
Legislation to attract agricultural laws will be introduced to the upcoming parliamentary session from November 29.
