Prayagraj: Touching a new milestone in the fight against Covid-19, more than 5 Lakh recipients in all age groups are given by Jab in August.
Until now, more than 17.24 doses of lakh have been given in the district.
According to the Ministry of Health, “on August 2, the number of people who were vaccinated against Covid was 12,22,404, which jumped to 17,24,827 on August 29.
Overall, more than 5.02 recipients of the lakh were covered in August.” A total of 7,800 women were vaccinated in the ‘Pink Booth’ at MLN Medical College, while 4,100 international leaflets were also given shots.
On average, more than 15,000 recipients are given jab every day and more than 40 percent of targeted recipients have taken JAB in Sangam City so far.
Health officials have set the target of receivers of 42.39 lakh, including 29 lakh aged between 18 and 44 and 12.87 lakh over 45 years.
The number of vaccinated recipients up to 21 August 15.68,335 and more than 1.56 lakh was covered in one week because the graph of vaccinated people reached 17,24,827 on August 29.
Officials said recipients sharing their experiences, relieved misunderstanding about vaccination and its sides – the effects and destruction of various myths about vaccination were three main factors that have helped improve exercises.
District immunization officers and additional Chief Medical Officer (ACMO) Dr.
Teuth Lal told TI that the department increased the urge to cover the maximum number of recipients in the coming days.
He said the department had succeeded in its efforts because more than 40 percent of the targeted recipients had been given Jab so far.
On Saturday, 14,022 recipients in Prayagraj received Jab, which included 22 first doses and 13,973 second dose.
With this, 17,24,727 Jab has been given to the recipient of all age groups until August 29, including 13,62,662 first doses and 3.62,165 second dose.
