Bengaluru: To regain trust and create awareness among the people about the fake ghee package circulating, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) plans to change the nandini ghee packaging and hire technology that allows product tracking.
The move arose after the destruction of the racket involving the manufacture and distributing Nandini Ghee which was polluted in various districts.
The first fake ghee example was found in Mysuru, after the KMF alert team found Ghee fake in retail stores in Jayanagar, Srinagar, and two warehouses in Hoskote and Makali.
Most products have arrived from MySuru.
During one of the surprise attacks, officials from the Indian Food and Food Standard Authority (FSSAI) seized the material and sent it for testing.
Furthermore, it was revealed that organized rackets were packaging and selling contaminated ghee containing vegetable and vegetable oils and unknown animal fats in Nandini packages.
According to a senior KMF official, the package design and the name Ghee will change soon.

Previously, we called it ‘Nandini’ Ghee pure and now the name will be ‘nandini good life’ cow ghee.
The new package looks very different and can’t be damaged,” the official said.
