Patna: Minister of Welfare Welfare Welfare Welfare State Welfare Sahni Madan on Thursday offered to resign from his position, citing the supremacy of the bureaucracy in the state government.
This step creates stirring in a political circle because Sahni is the Minister of the JD (U) quota and is considered close to CM Nith Kumar.
“I have decided to resign from the post as a sign of protest over the way a minister is treated by the state bureaucracy.
What is the purpose of being a minister if I cannot serve people.
Officers do not listen to the minister.
Therefore, the work of people inhibits,” he said to him MediaPeron.
Sahni added, “I am not here to have a large bungalow or a car.
I am here to serve people who have chosen me.
CM must take the last call on this issue.
A Minister now does not have a role in the transfer and post employees .
“The minister also demanded a probe into the asset of a senior bureaucrat serving in a particular post over the past few years.
“We have faced a situation that is so bad for a long time,” he added.
Sahni said several ministers faced the same situation.
He, however, clarified that he would remain at JD (U) and serve the party as a dedicated worker.
Sahni is MLA JD (U) from Bahadurpur in Darbhanga District.
He also served as Minister during the previous Nitish Kumar task.
“This happened during the earliest task too, but I remained enough.
Sufficient now,” he told this newspaper by telephone.
Sources said the Social Secretary of the Department of Welfare Pankaj Kumar had previously shifted after dragging the war between the minister and him.
Sahni case is not isolated.
Previously, a senior BJP leader, Gyanendra Gyanu, has expressed the same view of the role of senior officers in the transfer and post of public servants in various government departments.
Reacting to Sahni’s steps, spokesman for the Asit Tiwari congress said that the Minister’s statement signaled an uncontrolled bureaucracy in the state.
“This is not a good sign for the country,” he added.
Former CM and Human Rights Head of Ram Manjhi also took friction on the state bureaucracy.
“Babe calls a shot, who demeans the position of minister,” he said.
RJD spokesman Mritunjay Tiwari said that even though Sahni became a senior minister, he was humiliated by bureaucrats.
However, JD (U) leaders avoid commenting on this problem.
