PARIS: Roger Federer became entangled at a rare working dispute with a seat umpire on Thursday before securing his spot at the French Open last 32.
Federer watched Marin Cilic for the 10th time in 11 meetings, including winning 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (7/4), 6-2 but just after another group bust-up together with umpire Emmanuel Joseph.
Even the 20-time Grand Sam name winner has been given a time breach at 1-3 down at the for taking a long time between issues.
“I do not even dare to proceed my towel ,” he explained to Joseph.
Federer, the oldest guy in the draw in 39, missing his cool and also the group before recovering to conquer world number three Cilic.
