Coimbatore: Schools in the district have been asked to feed students with respect to Covid on the Education Management Information System (EMIS) – Central database with information about each student.
EMIS is designed to monitor the performance of educational programs offered by schools and manage distribution and allocation of educational resources.
“Record Covid status in this centralized student database will help track positive cases throughout the country,” the Cheology of the Netha Education District.
Furthermore, it will also help in monitoring and tracking effective positive cases, he said.
“All schools strictly follow the Covid standard operating procedures (SOP) since they opened back on September 1 but positively tested students do not show symptoms and cannot be detected during thermal scanning.

A total of 76 patients returned home after treatment on Monday, leaving a total of 955 active cases.
So far, 91,462 people are infected with Covid in the district, where 89,568 recovered.
