JALNA (Maharashtra): The body of a 32-year-old woman and four children including three daughters found in a well in Jalna Maharashtra district on Friday, with police suspecting that it was a suicide case.
The incident took place on Thursday in Ghungard Hadgaon Village in Ambad Tehsil, police said.
The deceased was identified as Gangasagar (Ganga) Dnayneshwar Adani, his daughter Bhakti (13), Ishwari (11), Akshara (9), and Son Yuvraj (7).
The woman left home with children on Thursday morning.
The search starts when they don’t get back late at night.
Death was revealed on Friday morning when the five bodies were seen floating in a well in the field of Fiske Ganesh.
The officials of the Gondi police station rushed to the place and fished.
“The initial investigation shows that the woman might have thrown children into a well before jumping in itself,” said Sheetalkumar Inspector Balal Police Office Ambad.
The police held the woman’s husband to be questioned.
Cases of accidental death have been registered for now at this time at the Gondi Police Station, said Ballal Inspector, added that further investigation was on.
