Hyderabad: Sub-Inspector and Two Police Chief of the Addagududur Police Station, which was placed under a suspension a month ago in relation to the death of the custodian of a 48-year-old Dalit woman, has been dismissed from the service by Commissioner Rachakonda Mahesh Bhagwat.
On June 22, Commissioner Rachakonda suspended Addagudur Si V Maheshwar, Constables, Ma Rashed Patel and P Janaiiah for retaliation in connection with the death of Mariamma’s custodian.
After Mariamma’s death on June 18 at the Bhongir Area Hospital, when he was in police custody, according to the procedure, post-mortem was carried out and the case of custodian death was listed under the 176 part of the CRPC against Maheshwar and two police officers.
Furthermore, in July the second week, the police filed a memo in court mention the addition of section 330 (voluntarily causing injury) IPC and SC & ST acted in the FIR against three police officers after the medical examination of the women’s son, Uday, was picked up in the case of theft, showing Custodian torture.
On Wednesday, Commissioner Rachakonda issued a statement about the elimination of three police officers from the service.
According to the statement, “In the case of the death of the Ps of Ps Dalit, Mariamma, police responsibility, Maheshwar, Constables Ma Rasheed Patel and P Janaiiah, which have been compiled, are dismissed from services based on article 311 (2) (b) constitution and 25 ( 2) behavior regulations on July 20 by CP Rachakonda.
“On June 16, Father Balashoury from Govindapur Village at the Addagudur police station, filed a complaint that accused RS 2 Lakh stolen from the place of cum-cum-residence, police said.
After the probe preliminary, the police took Domestic Aid Pastor Maramu, 48, his son Uday Kumar and his friend on June 17.
The police also recovered RS 90,000 in cash from the suspect.
While the trio was interrogated at the police station, Mariamma suddenly complained of anxiety and she shifted to the Bhongir Area Hospital, where she was declared dead in the early hours of June 18, Assistant Commissioner Police (ACP), Malkajgiri, N Shyam Prasad Rao said.
