Kanpur: A female staff from the chaos of air force officials in the city was found infected with the Zika virus on Friday.
In addition, one other woman was found to have contracted a virus in the city of Jajmau.
The number of infected Zika in the city has now increased to 138 where 115 reports have come negatively and the total number of active cases is 23.
The Head of the Kanpur Nagar Medical Officer Dr.
Nepal Singh said that in the report received from Microbiology King George’s Medical University, Lucknow on the day Friday, Zika’s infection was confirmed in two more people, both women.
“Among them were 43-year-old women who worked in the chaos of air force officials, and who lived in the air force station .
According to Dr.
GK Mishra, an additional director of medical health and family welfare, the Kanpur Division, the supervision team has collected samples of family members, relatives and friends with whom they came into contact.
Along with this, massive fogging exercises have been carried out in areas from which two infected.
Sample 89 people with Zika symptoms, fever and pregnancy were taken in Tiwaripur affected by Zika, Raidas Vihar Jajmau, Tiwari Jaga, Pokharpur, Faithfulanj, Ghaukheda, Bhavani Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, KDA, Daheli Sujanpur, Shiv Katra and Darshan Purwa region.
All samples have been sent to Lucknow to be investigated.
Source reduction measures have also been carried out in this field.
Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Officer, Unnao, Dr.
Satyaprakash said that reports of population infected with Coloni Mishra in the Shuklagej Unnao area, have become negative on Friday.
