Noida: Noida authorities have initiated the process of distributing kiosks and vending rooms for women in the city under the ‘pink vending zone’ scheme.
The space across from 168 city sectors has been identified and alcohol began, officials said.
During the first half, allotment will be conducted in 50 city women entrepreneurs who are interested in establishing their shops.
In fact, the authority has identified almost 4,000 street vendors that must be rehabilitated.
And officials say that at least five to 10 kiosks in each seller zone or work circle will be given to women’s applicants under the scheme.
“In the future, we will block a number of certain slots for only women’s applicants.
But we have to evaluate the response through the first scheme before deciding anything,” OSD to the authority, Dwivedi presence.
