Thiruvananthapuram: Satyameva Jayate, Campaign Literacy Digital Media State government against the wrong information and false news, will soon be launched in all higher education institutions in the state.
The two-day workshop for selected college teachers who will be the main trainer launched here on Monday.
Media Literacy Boot Camp for Teachers, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education in relation to Delhi-based Datalead companies, was inaugurated by the Minister of Higher Education R Bindu at the Samudra KTDC in Kovalam.
The Department of Higher Education is the spearhead of the Digital Media Literacy Program Satyameva Jayate at the college level.
This program aims to create awareness among students and adolescents about the use of digital media and a safe way to recognize false information on the web.
The main trainers, who will be trained in the camp, will lead further training for more study teachers in all states.
Department of Higher Education Additional Director Jyotiraj M leads the function while the CEO of Dataleads Syed Nazakat Hussain leads the training session.
