New Delhi: Police Delhi has registered a case with respect to the commotion made in the Gurdwara election directorate in the Ito area here, a senior officer said on Friday.
This case was registered in the complaint of the Gurdwara election directorate, the officer said.
FIR has been registered at the IP Estate Police Station under the Section 186 (preventing public servants in dismissal of public functions), 353 (violence or criminal to prevent public servants from disposal of their duties) 506 (punishment of criminal intimidation), 188 (disobedience to order correctly which was announced by civil servants) and 34 (general intention), said the officer.
No arrests have been made so far, he said.
On Thursday, a video appeared on social media which showed several people chanting slogans at the Gurdwara election directorate in the Ito City region.
Former President of the Gurdwara Management Committee Delhi Sikh and Shiroman Akali National Spokesman Manjinder Singh Sire claimed that the people included in his party were angry with Gurdwara’s election director, Narinder Singh, because he “did not follow the co-option procedure for members of the General House of DSGMC “.
In the video clip, people were seen shouting slogans against Singh and threw his shoes at one point.
“He (Singh) does not go with the rules and deliberately look after the party workers waiting,” Saled alleged.
