NEW DELHI: The government has initiated the financial offer process for Air Laden Air Carrier (AI) on Wednesday because the Jyotiraditya Scindia flight minister made it clear that September 15 for this process was repaired and would not change.
After failing to find a buyer for 76 percent of shares in Air India in 2018, the government is expected to complete the sale of national operators with at least two buyers who are expected to submit a financial offer on September 15.
“Tata Group, through the parent company and Chairman of Spicejet Ajay Singh, is likely to make a financial offer for airlines in his personal capacity,” Industrial Source told Ani.
“We are very optimistic that this time Air India will get a new bidder,” said the government’s source about the condition of anonymity.
Indian water is loaded with major debts around RS 43,000 Crore which Rs 22,000 Crore will also be transferred to Air India Asset Holding Limited (Aiahl).
“This airline’s debt has now increased to Rs 43,000 Crore and all of these loans are under government guarantees.
And the government will bear this debt before the airline is transferred to the new owner,” said the source.
The government refused to share details about expectations from Indian water sales.
This center plans to sell 100 percent of shares in its airline and its subsidiaries with low-cost Indian Express water.
And 50 percent of the shares in the Indian homeland handling company Sats Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS).
Other traits including Indian water buildings in Mumbai, ACLINES House in Delhi will also be part of the agreement.
Four hectares of land in Connaught Place in Delhi and various housing communities in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities for AI employees and other uses.
Indian subsidiaries such as Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) and Air India Air Transport Services Limited (AITSL) will also be part of Aiahl.
