Jaipur: The State Government has decided to provide financial assistance of around 2.75 lakh plots / homeowners living in regular colonies in the city, but do not have rent to date.
The decision has been taken to free the fine and interest imposed on regularization allegations of owners who do not have a rental (patta) of their plot / house.
This relaxation will be provided during Shehron’s insash to Sang Abhiyan 2021 (urban area service), organized by the government, in the colony which was developed before June 17, 1999.
The exemption order was issued by the Urban Development Department and Housing (UDH) on Thursday.
And the benefits will be available until March 2022.
According to officials of the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), such camps have been held in the past to approve land ownership in the colony developed before June 17, 1999.
However, many owners do not advance in the future to claim rent for various reasons, including finances.
“The decision will reduce financial expenses.
According to the rules, interest to 15% can be charged to regularization costs,” he said.
In accordance with estimates, there are more than 41,600 landowners without rent in the area of JDA.
However, the government has not provided an exception to landowners living in the colony developed after June 17, 1999.
