Melbourne: Australia’s Skipper Overs Aaron Finch on Friday praised the “extraordinary work” Justin Langer in the success of the team recently but did not comment on whether he would prefer him to continue the role of coaching.
Langer’s contract extension will be ready for discussion and Captain Finch and Test Pat Cummins are likely to be consulted by Cricket Australia before the final decision is made.
Langer, whose stylish works received some scathing criticism from the players, has expressed a desire to continue as head coach.
“He has done a fantastic job.
To win the World Cup when no one really gave us a chance, then to dominate ash 4-0, almost there 5-0, very impressive,” Finch said by saying ‘Sydney Morning Herald ‘.
“I will not comment on what the Australian cricket process will be there, but he has done extraordinary work over the past few months, in particular.” In the past four months, the former test opening has guided Australia to the T20 world cup title and accommodating the 4-0 series that dominated at home.
