Finch will not comment on Langer’s contract but praises the coach

Melbourne: Australia’s Skipper Overs Aaron Finch on Friday praised the “extraordinary work” Justin Langer in the success of the team recently but did not comment on whether he would prefer him to continue the role of coaching.
Langer’s contract extension will be ready for discussion and Captain Finch and Test Pat Cummins are likely to be consulted by Cricket Australia before the final decision is made.
Langer, whose stylish works received some scathing criticism from the players, has expressed a desire to continue as head coach.
“He has done a fantastic job.
To win the World Cup when no one really gave us a chance, then to dominate ash 4-0, almost there 5-0, very impressive,” Finch said by saying ‘Sydney Morning Herald ‘.
“I will not comment on what the Australian cricket process will be there, but he has done extraordinary work over the past few months, in particular.” In the past four months, the former test opening has guided Australia to the T20 world cup title and accommodating the 4-0 series that dominated at home.
White ball skipper said the government games in this country had a process to follow and he was still not sure what the results were.
“Whatever happens from the side of the Australian cricket, which is beyond our control as a player, but his contract has run out.
No doubt, there will be some talk there.” I know Patty [Cummins] and myself might be contacted about it.
But I really don’t know – I have never been in a leadership role when someone’s training contract rises.
“So, as I said, he has done an extraordinary job.
To see how well the environment has gone through the T20 World Cup, then throughout Abu, is a credit for everyone there,” Finch added.
Langer has taken over the team after a ball-tubmarting scandal in South Africa in 2018.
His current contract will end in June.
