Ranchi: District administration on Friday submitted a case against 28 BJP leaders and around 1,500 unknown party workers at the Dhurwa Police Station in connection with the alleged violations of government orders and disaster management laws during their Vidhan Sabha Gheroo plan earlier this week.
The police said that leaders had been accused of carrying out various violations, including violating road barriers, interference with government work, damage to public property and violated disaster management measures by mobilizing the crowd and not wearing masks when covid restrictions were still there.
On Wednesday, thousands of BJP workers, who proceeded to Gherrao Vidhan Sabha, have destroyed the barrier by administration near Jagannath’s temple which leads to the accusation of Lathi by the police.
Circle Officer (City) Amit Bhagat, who attended the place, has submitted a quarter against Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, the Mayor of Asha Lakra, a former chairman of the Children’s Rights Protection Committee and other senior BJP leaders, including Amardeep Yadav, Pratul Sahdeo, Kamlesh RAM Kisley Tiwari, KK Gupta and others.
Meanwhile, a case has also been submitted at the Lalpur Police Station against six leaders of the Ajsu Party, including the Sudesh Mahto Party President, MP Chandra Prakash Choudhary, Mla Lambodar Mahto and the Party-Bearer Deosharan Bhagat, and 1,500 unknown people in connection with job interference The government and persecuted police personnel during their rally for a 27% job reservation for OBC at Morhabadi earlier this week.
Administration, however, has not submitted a case against the Congress in connection with violations of Covid norms during the main remarks given to the president of the newly appointed country Congress, Rajesh Thakur, and five workers’ presidents at the Party airport in Ranchi on August 29.
On the event, many are seen without masks and finding social distance norms.
Ranchi SDO Deepak Dubey said, “We are examining the video footage of the event and party action will be taken, if necessary.”
