Ahmedabad: A register registered with 13 people in connection with the alleged theft of valuables, including diamonds and jewelry, worth 45 crore from a safe safe at Lilavati Hospital managed by trust in Palanpur City in Banskantha district, said officials said Sunday officials.

The complainant is the son of Kishor Mehta, a permanent trustee, and Kimpileal Mehta’s grandson who founded trust.
Prashant Mehta, who claimed to be the “de facto” trustee, had moved to court after the police initially refused to peek into fir.
FIR was finally registered on Saturday afternoon in the direction of the court at Palanpur.
FIR was registered at the East Palanpur Police Station below 380 (theft at home residential), 406 (penalty for criminal violations of trust), and 120 B (criminal conspiracy) from the Indian Criminal Code (IPC), said a police officer.
The complainant stated that the key to the safe deposit inside the Mani Bhavan building that accommodated Lilavati Kimpileal Mehta Charitle Hospital in Palanpur was in possession of his father Kishor Mehta.
He alleged that some of his relatives broke the safe locker to pick up valuables, the official said First.
He said the people were accused, who was no longer trusted, conspired with each other to renovate the building and destroy the safety cabinet and covered with valuables.
Stolly valuables include 3.5 kg of gold jewelry, 8.5 rust of Diamond Maharaja Baroda, valuables including gold and silver jewelry, including silver plate, throne, ring, etc., which is worth around Rs 40-45 Crore , according to pine, the official said.
