China Shopee’s e-commerce company, facing controversy over FDI violations in this country, has been hit by FIR submitted by customers in Lucknow for allegedly deceiving him.
In Fight, it was filed at the Mohanlag police station in Lucknow on January 15 and seen by Ivers, Shashank Shekhar Singh who complained that he ordered products online from Shopee on December 10, but what he received was a duplicate product.
Fir has named Shopee, its parent company based in India Pvt Ltd, and senior company officials.
According to Singh, he ordered three products worth RS 840, Rs 399 and Rs 1,299 from Shopee.
What he received was not the product displayed on the platform but a fake variant, accused the e-commerce platform to cheat him.
Last month, the Confederation of all Indian traders (CAIT) urged Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and the Minister of Trade Piyush to shake to Shopee tires, which he claimed to operate in India against FEMA and Note Regulations Press FDI China.

Shopee is a Chinese e-commerce giant who has started its operations in India through entities, SPPIN India Pvt Ltd, held by two parent companies, SPPIN I PVT LTD and SPPIN II PVT Ltd, both registered in Singapore, the merchant body claimed in the letter.
“Two of these entities, in turn, held by other parent companies SPPIN LTD, registered in the Cayman Islands.
The arrangement of this complex entity is nothing but an effort to sanctify the Indian government and invest China funds to India,” Cait Secretary General Praveen Khandelwal wrote in the letter that.
The trader’s body also assigned the waiter to adopt “predatory price tactics”, thus distorting competition in the market.
The Delhi High Court in November requested centers to avenge the request that strives to block eCommerce websites and cellular applications operated by SPPIN India Pvt Ltd with the name Shopee.
