Sambalpur: At least 28 people suffered severe burns after a large fire broke out in a Gutkha factory in the Sambalpur Odisha district on Monday, officials said.
All those who are injured are factory employees in Pardhiapali.
About 150 employees worked in the unit when the engine made a burning bag possible because of several electrical mistakes, said Rochak Gour factory supervisor.
Sambalpur Police Inspector Battula Gangadhar said the investigation would be launched to ensure the exact cause behind the fire.

Of the 28 injured people, six were undergoing treatment at a local hospital while 11 others, the condition was serious, shifted to the Ispat Rourkela General Hospital, an official said.
The rest is released after initial treatment.
