Palanpur: Fifteen Covid-19 sufferers have been changed after a fire broke out at a private hospital advised for coronavirus therapy in Mehsana on Thursday.
The fire broke out from Sai Krishna Hospital in which four patients were at the intensive care unit (ICU) while 11 on the next ground non-ICU ward.
Official sources said that the fire broke out on the fourth floor along with preliminary evaluation indicated that there has been a flicker because of short-circuit.
The patients had been changed to Lions Hospital, stated added collector Pradipsinh Rathod.
The hospital doesn’t have a fire fighting program and appropriate diagnostic gear,” explained Rathod.
Panic appeared as thick plumes of smoke billowed in the hospital and a enormous crowd gathered there.
Rathod reported that the patients that were changed are in a secure state.
