Namakkal: A small fire broke in the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Seetharampalayam near Tiruchenn Dgodu on Saturday morning.
No one was injured in the incident.
The official source said the PHC staff member had found smoke originating from the store room when they came to serve in the morning.
“We save acid and chlorine powder in the room.
We tried to put out the fire, but was in vain,” said the staff.
They immediately told the fire service personnel and rescue, which brought fire under control after a one-hour struggle.
Tiruchenngodu Mla Eswaran and former AIADMK MLA PON Saraswathi visited the PHC.
Residen Seetharampalayam, meanwhile, asked for eswaran to regulate Covid vaccination in PHC.
Shows that he has contacted the health department official regarding this matter, Mla said the vaccine would arrive in the middle of a few days.
Police Tiruchennongodu has registered a case with respect to the fire incidence and investigation beginning.
