Kolkata: A fire broke down on the top floor of the West Bengal State Secretariat Building in Howrah around Tuesday afternoon.
The fire created panic among the top officials as the main minister of Mamata Banerjee sat on the top floor of the 14-story building.
However, because of a puja holiday, the secretariat was closed for two weeks.
A high-level probe was ordered to the incident.
A senior official said the fire was seen at 11.54 in the morning on the roof of the Nabanna from the Vodafone signal electrical panel.
Police officials saw the fire and reminded firefighters in Nabanna.
Within minutes, the fire is controlled.
