Fire broke out in the building in Chennai Anna Salai

Chennai: a fire broke out at a computer shop on the third floor of a five-story building in Anna Salai in Chennai on Thursday.
Preliminary questions revealed that no one was injured in the accident.
The fire broke out at the Devaraj Computers Private Limited in the GG complex, located close to Shanthi Theater, around 11:00.
At least 10 fire tenders from Triplicane, Madras High Court, Egmore, Anna Square, and Teynampet were pressed into the service.
About 25 metrowater tankers and private water tankers are also used to extinguish the fire.
Thirty-eight people, who were trapped on the third floor, were evacuated.
Eight of them, including a baby, was evacuated with the help of Skylift.
30 others, including 12 women, were saved after opening the door in the northern corner of the extreme building.
Fire services and rescue of DGP Karan Singha and other firefighters visited the place.
Because the building is located right in Anna Salai, firefighting personnel find it difficult to control the crowd curious.
The police helped firefighting personnel by controlling the crowd.
The police used a public addressing system to streamline public movements on the road.
Ambikeshwaran, the owner of the company Apollo Arms, which is located on the second floor, said, “I was in my office.
I heard a shout to help around 11am.
I rushed to look for thick smoke originating from the third floor.
Soon, we evacuated all our staff members.
“Fire service personnel and rescue reaches a place in the next 10 minutes.
“Personnel and firefighters do a commendable job and evacuated everyone who is trapped on the third floor,” Ambikeshwaran said.
