Karachi: The fire erupted early in the morning in a slum in the South Karachi port city of Pakistan, destroyed about 100 huts, said an API official.
No one was injured in Blaze.
According to Inayat Ullah, a senior official at the City Fire Station, the fire erupted in his residence along the Lyari River, under the bridge in Central Karachi in the Teenhatti neighborhood.
About 10 Firetruck arrived at the scene quickly and managed to put out the fire after a few hours.
Not immediately known what began the flames, he said, adding that such incidents often occur with the onset of cold weather when poor people live in an emergency house in the slums to stay warm.
A similar fire last year destroyed about a hundred residence between burlap and plastics in the same environment, most of which managed to work and begged.
No one was seriously injured in the linglung.
During the day, men, women and children from Teenhatti are seen looking for items they can convey from ash.
Karachi is the capital city of South Sindh Province, where thousands of people live in open areas along Lyari.
Some have tin roofs but the majority of houses are made of sugar cane, burlap and plastic.
