Firecrackers within the permitted sound limit

Nagpur: Like the last few years, firecrackers available in the city are within the permitted vote limit.
On Friday, the Maharashtra pollution control agency (MPCB) conducted a pre-diwali test for association with the Petroleum Safety Organization and explosives (Peso) on the last campus in Gondkhairi.
According to the second amendment rules (protection), 2006, manufacture, sales or the use of firecrackers that produce noise levels exceed 125 decibels (DB (A)) at a distance of 4 meters from the explosive point is prohibited.
This year, the siren whistle from Shree Kaleshwar Fire Works, Shivakashi, was found hardest at 122.4 dB (a).
“The noise level of other firecrackers was found in the range of 107 dB (a) to 66 dB (a),” said the MPCB sub-regional officer of a Katole.
Nearly 40 brands of crackers emit a voice tested.
Samples are collected from the local market.
Peso officials, including the control of the Sangole explosive material, are also present during noise monitoring.
They have appealed to residents to check the decibel level before buying.
Also, firecrackers must follow the safety advisor issued by Peso.
In 2014, most crackers tested by the board were found to exceed the permitted noise limits.
However, things were reported to increase in recent years.
The safe limit is included in the implementation by considering health diseases that can be caused by exposure to the high noise level.
