Nagpur: The driver’s operator employed with the fire department and the Nagpur Corporation Emergency Service saved a middle-aged man, who had jumped to Gandhi Sagar in an attempt to end his life, on Thursday.
The police said the man, Ravindra Madhukar Mahalle, 54, 54, a resident of Nehru Nagar, came out of danger and claimed to be iggmch after being saved from Gandhi Sagar around 4pm.
NMC staff who saved him, Dome Vikram was 28 years old, told toi that he and his colleague (a leading fire department.
Shankar Bijwe) returned home after raising their assignments at Ganjipeth Fire Station.
“I drove a berbiton while Bijwe drove a two-wheeled vehicle and we headed to Sakkardara.
While across Gandhi Sagar we saw a crowd gathered near the Ganesh temple located in his bank,” he said.
“We stopped and I rushed to the lake to find out what happened , “he said.
Eyewitnesses told him that a few seconds ago, a man jumped to the lake.
The front saw the air bubble above the lake which showed that the man was still alive.

He dived far to the lake and it took a few minutes for him to find Mahalle.
Dragging him with his shirt, Dome Swam headed for the side of the Ganesh temple, an eyewitness said.
With the help of the audience, Mahalle was pulled out of the lake.
