Gurugram: A 17 year old girl from Public School Dav, Sector 49 is the first teenager to get Jab Covid for children in Gurugram.
Tamanna Dhingra said his parents, both were fully vaccinated, motivated him to get a vaccine and he in turn motivated his colleagues to do the same.
His sister, who was in grade 7, did not qualify for vaccines.
Tamanna does not have to order an online appointment and just walk to school to take a shot.
“I want to wait a little longer to get a vaccine, but my mother insisted that I got the earliest Covaxin Jab, by following a Covid case increase,” added 12th grade students.
He looked excited when he was the first to get a dose of Covaxin on Monday as Part of the vaccination drive for children between 15 and 18 years in the city.
“It’s important to get a vaccine.
Everyone must take Jab when their turn comes,” he said.
Asked how he would contribute to the inoculation drive, he said, “I will motivate others to take Jab by setting an example.
Many of my friends have registered with the co-win portal and will soon get Jab.
I hope we can all live a normal life After this.
“A 16-year-old student aged 16 years from the same school was the second child of the city for vaccinated.
Ayan Lohehab said he had a mixed feelings about vaccination, but his mother, a teacher, helped him understand the importance.
“I initially had doubts, but I understood from my mother.
He had got both the dose and he told me to do it.
I will inspire others to do the same.”
