Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh became the first country in India who had given 17 doses of Covid-19 vaccine crore on Tuesday.
The official statement from the government said that more than 78% of the population who qualified above were partially vaccinated, while 37% had taken the two doses.
Data from the Ministry of Health showed that 15.04 crore people at Uttar Pradesh were eligible for Jab Covid-19.
The government is now targeting 90% achievements for the first and 50% doses for the second dose at the end of the month.
The Chairperson of the Yogi Adityanath Minister praised the hard work included by health and other officials in reaching a historical milestone that establishes the success of the implementation plan for vaccination programs.
He also appreciated the advanced people to take the vaccine and urged all that because of the second dose to take their maturity shots.
Data from the Cowin portal shows that in Maharashtra, the closest competitor up, the total number of dosages given is 12.02 crore.
West Bengal (9.55 Crore), Madhya Pradesh (9.10 Crore) and Bihar (8.69 Crore) Follow the next.
Among the districts, Lucknow (54 lakh), Prasagraj (47.12 lakh), Azamgarh (41.99 lakh), Bareilly (39.77 lakh) and Ghaziabad (39.62 lakh) are among the top five.
Meanwhile, health officials warn people towards risky behavior and ask them to adhere to Covid-19 prevention protocols in individual and social interests.
Data from the State Health Department indicates that nine new cases of six districts have appeared in the last 24 hours.
