Coimbatore: “Spiritual Declaration” Thirukkural Classic Tamil was ignored because of “evil politics,” Tamil Governor Nadu R Ravi on Friday.
He said Thirukkural must be seen in his totality by including a spiritual perspective for it so that it will achieve the classical world status.
The governor spoke at the Thirukkural International Conference – 2022, held by Malai Sangam duration at Sri Krishna Arts and Science College (SKASC) in Coimbatore.
Although Thirukkural began with “Agara Mudhala Ellam Ellam, Aadhi Bhagavan Muthatre Ullau” (begging for God) and has a temple that praises Bhakti or devotion, the translation he received from the job has results for spiritual, the governor said.
The governor is looking for more comments with a spiritual perspective on Thirukkural to make it more popular throughout the world.
By stating that limiting thirukkural with a job on ethics and morality was a great injustice for that, the governor said it was also rooted in Dharma.
He said Temple Thirukkural on ethics and morals did not stand independently of their spiritual meaning.
The absence of such understanding and appreciation will not reveal the inner meaning that the temple brought.
“Thirukkural not only talks about devotion, it also has a temple on the rejection and cycle of birth and death.
Tipet Thirukkural sharp and brings deep meaning, which cannot be understood without spirituality,” he said.
Since Thiruvalluvar has written Thirukkural, some ideologies have come and go, he said.
“The current political truth or ideology may not limit what classics offer.
Only so, the glory of Thirukkural will continue.
There is no need for efforts to promote it,” he said.
