First plants up to convert construction waste into bricks starting Ops

Prayagraj: In the first, manufacturing plants that make tiles and bricks from construction waste have been functional in the city of Sangam.
Located in Baswar, this is the first manufacturing unit of the country, which uses debris and construction waste located not used on the road and causes air pollution, to make bricks and tiles.
Built at a cost of more than Rs 5.5 Crores, the factory has the capacity to handle 100 metric tons (MT) construction waste per day.
This factory is able to recycle 50-100 mt of waste produced every day of urban areas of the city.
By recycling debris, bricks, sidewalk stones, tiles and slab coverings, materials that will be used for road construction and interlocking will be produced.
The C & D waste factory was inaugurated on Wednesday together by the Mayor of Abhilasha City Gupta Nandi, Sanjay Goyal Divisioner Commissioner and Commissioner of the City Ravi Ranjan.
With the inauguration of the factory, Prayagraj has become the country’s first city company to start a manufacturing unit of C & D waste factories Environmental pollution and problems such as waterways blockage.
“This waste plant will be proven to be an effective way to turn this waste material into something so useful”, he added.
The manufacturing unit has been built at a cost of Rs 5.63 Cror where a number of Rs 4.13 Crore is subject to sanctions from the smart city project and RS 1.5 Crore from a national clean air program.
Purchasing bricks, sidewalk stones, tiles and slab coverings made from C & D waste mills will be carried out by city corporation at the level of concession.
So far, around 15,000 metric tons of construction and dismantling waste have been collected from where recycling work is taking place.
Now, the factory has been made functional, all C & D waste generators such as landowners, builders, contractors, governments / private organizations will be able to dispose of their waste at reasonable prices.
The body identified by corporate city will also do the work of debris from various locations in the city.
On this occasion, the commissioner Division Sanjay Goyal appealed to all district residents to get debris produced from their homes disposed of at this Baswar factory.
“Simple steps by Denizens will make them more responsible and at the same time will help maintain clean sholegraj and prevent various types of pollution arising from debris,” said Goyal.
