First season: five positive tests for dengue fever

Gurgaon: The city reported Dengue’s cases for the first time this year on Tuesday, with five patients who tested positive diseases transmitted through vectors.
They include a 55-year-old woman from sector 67, a 16-year-old boy from DLF-4, two 22 years old from Bhondsi and Rajiv Nagar and a 63-year-old man from Gandhi Nagar.
The Ministry of Health has carried out extensive inspections throughout the city.
Areas such as sector 14, 15, 46 and 51 and Sushant Lok usually appear as dengue hotspots, officials said.
With increasing city moisture levels, cases of dengue fever tend to increase, according to the doctor.
They have suggested that residents wore full arm clothes and use mosquito drugs.
In recent inspections, the Ministry of Health found a large number of mosquito larvae on DLF-1, 2, 3 and 4, sector 32, 45, 57 and 67, and Sushant Lok-1.
“We have five cases of dengue fever and one malaria so far.
People in the city need to be careful about the diseases transmitted through vectors.
They must check the overhead tank, flowering pot and water cooling regularly for mosquito breeding.
We also collect Samples of patients with symptoms such as Covid for dengue and malaria tests, “said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
“The case of a disease that is transmitted through vector is increasing.
Mosquito which causes dengue fever breed in fresh water and it takes a week for hatching larvae.
Our team conducts inspections in various regions in the city,” CMO added.
When mosquitoes usually send dengue fever to humans during the day, the Ministry of Health targets schools in the city.
Dedicated teams will filter out of school every day for mosquito breeding to avoid cases of dengue fever.
As many as 1,42,304 houses have been examined and 832 notifications released in August so far.
This month, 41,208 water coolers have been examined, where larvae were found in 543.
Similarly, 32,145 overhead tanks were examined and 234 had larvae.
Especially 20,675 sinks checked, where 376 has larvae.
Mosquito breeding was also found in 789 of 126753 flower pots.
The health team also examined 26,185 places where water had been collected, and larvae were found in 589 areas.
Similarly, 32,418 tires were discarded, where 256 had larvae.
The city reported the highest number of dengue cases in the last seven years in 2015, when a total of 451 cases were recorded.
The image was established in 86 in 2016, 66 in 2017and 93 in 2018.
In 2019, a total of 22 cases of dengue fever were reported in Gurgaon, which rose to 51 in 2020.
