Vasco: Drishti Lifeguards saved 14 fishermen after their ship was reversed from Velsoo beach in Salcete, Friday night.
A two-hour rescue operation involved 30 coastal guards led by Deputy Manager Drishti Shashikant Jadhav.
The rescue team saved Dristis received a call around 9:30 a.m.
from a local fisherman who ship with several onboard fishermen Capsion of Velsoo.
Team 30 Lifeguards members quickly launched search and rescue operations.
Two Jetskis is pressed into the action and two all-terrain vehicles equipped with oxygen tanks and P3K equipment are stored in standby.
Ambulance reserves are also called if an emergency occurs.
The dark conditions of pitches, gusty winds, choppy waters and lower currents make challenging operations.
