Porbandar: Police Gujarat has registered allegations of murder and attempts to kill 10 Pakistani Maritime Security Agency personnel (PMSA) after they opened fire on Indian fishing boats in the Arabian sea on Gujarat Beach, killing members of the crew and wounding another, said an official on Monday.
FIR was registered on Sunday night at the Navi Bandar police station in Porbandar Regency, which had territorial jurisdiction outside 12 miles of sea from Gujarat Coast, under the Indian Code 302 (murder), 307 (murder attempts) and 114 (present) when violations were carried out ), and the relevant provisions of the arms law, the official said.
In accordance with the FIR, ten unknown PMSA personnel, five vessels of each ship, accused of opening fire on Indian fishing boats ‘Jalpari’ around 4pm, killing one Sridhar Ramesh Chamre (32), a fisherman from Palghar district in Maharashtra .
Other fishermen, named Dilip Soanki (34), who came from Diu, was injured in a shoot.
He underwent treatment at the hospital in the coastal city of Okha from Devbhumi Dwarka district in Gujarat.
There are seven crew members on the fishing boat.
India has received a serious record of the shooting that has not been proven by PMSA and will take diplomatic problems with the Pakistani team, the official source in Delhi previously said.
In his complaint, Solank said seven fishermen on the ship ‘Jalpari’ were involved in fishing activities in Indian waters near the international border when 10 PMSA personnel on two boats opened fire, killing one of the fishermen and injured.
The dead fisherman’s body was taken to Okha on Sunday, and FIR was registered at night in Porbandar based on complaints by Solanki, the official said.
The boat sailed from Okha for fishing on October 25 with seven onboard fishermen, two of which came from Maharashtra, four of Gujarat and one from DIU (in the Dadra area and Nagar Haveli, officials said.
