Five cases of Zika again in the state

Thiruvananthapuram: Five cases of Zika’s virus were reported again in the state on Thursday, taking the total cases reported as far as 28.
Of this amount, only eight active and three cases were pregnant women.
All 28 cases have been reported from the country’s capital and therefore drives to eradicate mosquitoes that have begun in the district.
Anayara in the city has been declared as the first cluster of the Zika virus.
More samples are collected from this region for testing.
A total of 14 health workers worked with private hospitals in Anayara testing Zika’s positive positive.

Environmental level committees have been asked to monitor fogging activities in their respective regions.
All local bodies have been asked to take advantage of funds to carry out fogging and source reduction activities.
The review meeting was also analyzed that cases of dengue fever also increased in many parts of the country because of the increase in mosquito density.
District medical staff have been asked to find out hotspots in each district.
