Patna: Five children from the same family died in a broken fire in their homes in the village of Dajawa under the region of the Kingun Police Station in the Banka district on Tuesday.
The locals said the fire was triggered by the LPG cylinder explosion.
However, the police have not confirmed.
Banka SP Arvind Kumar Gupta said the burning cylinder and the regulator recovered from the place.
“The exact cause of fire has not been ascertained.
All goods at home have decreased to ashes,” he added.
He added five dead children, four were siblings and one was their cousin.
The victims were identified as the biological brother of Ankush Kumar (10), Shivani Kumari (9), soni Kumari (8), Seema Kumari (5) and their cousin Anshu Kumari (10).
Gupta said the father of four siblings, Ashok Paswan had suffered injured burns while trying to save children.
