Even the United States Department of Justice in late 2018 established the”China Initiative” to stem the theft of trade secrets by Chinese entities and also maintain technology improved at US schools protected.

Song Chen is a neurologist and has been a visiting researcher at Stanford University.
She had been detained on July 18, 2020, also released on bail three days after.
She’s charged with visa fraud and lots of obstruction counts such as supplying false statements to a government service.
Her trial was postponed while attorneys battle over exactly what evidence might be acknowledged.
Zhao Kaikai is currently a PhD student at Indiana University Bloomington analyzing machine learning and artificial intelligence.
He was detained July about 18, 2020 and can be charged with visa fraud and making a false announcement.
Zhao stays in prison.
His trial is set for October 4, 2021.
Guan Lei is currently a PhD student in the National University of Defence Technology in Changsha, China, and has been a visiting scholar analyzing computational optimization in the University of California, Los Angeles.
He had been detained on Aug.
27, 2020 and released on bond a month.
Guan faces a variety of charges such as fraud fraud, making false statements destruction and modification of documents in a national investigation.
His trial is set for Aug.
31, 2021.
Tang Juan has been a visiting researcher focusing on radiation oncology in the University of California Davis School of Medicine.
She had been detained on July 23, 2020 and published on bond about seven months later.
She’s charged with visa fraud and making false statements.
Her trial has been set for July 26, 2021.
