Noida: At least five people allegedly committed suicide in the district in the last two days.
In the first case, a 22-year-old engineering student jumped to the death of the 14th floor of the family at Sunworld Vanalika Housing Society in the early 107 sector on Monday morning.
His family members were fast asleep at that time, police said.
In other cases in the Dadri area, Indrapal (32), who had lost his job, allegedly hung himself in a tree near the Mathura Bridge on Monday.
The third suicide occurred in the Phase III police station area.
Faridabad was originally Santosh Kumar (28), died after hanging himself with fans in rented accommodation in the Behlolpur area.
In another suicide, a 45-year-old man identified as Shrithant Singh died of suicide after a dispute with his wife in the Surajpur area on Monday.
In the fifth case, a 18-year-old woman, who just married again, died of suicide by hanging her in her in-laws’ house at Gadhi Chaukhandiy on Monday.
