Mangaluru: Police Dakshina Kannada has recovered five grenades found in the village of Ilantila Belthangady Taluk on Saturday.
Dakshina Kannada SP Rishikesh Sonange said that a former Jayakumar Poojary service called the police station and told them that unknown people had left a grenade near his house.
The complainant stated that he was watching the grenade near the barbed wire fence when he walked down the mud track to his house.
While four grenades were found scattered, one grenade was in the yellow plastic cover.
To prevent damage from explosives, he maintains a grenade in a safe place in his place and calls the police.
The case has been listed under Section 25, 1 (b) and 7 of the ARM acted at the Uppinangady Police Station.
