Tiruvarur: The Special Police Team on Thursday arrested five people in connection with the murder of the Secretary of the Union in the CPI Nadesa Thamizharvan in the city of Tiruvaram in Tiruvaram Regency.
Thamizharvan, a resident of Olimathi Village, was hacked to death by gang on Wednesday night, while he stepped out of his car at the bazaar neveramangalam.
His arrest came within 24 hours after the occurrence of a crime.
The police identified the defendant as R Rajkumar, 33, J Manoj, 23, both Indigenous Americans Agrahara Poovanur, M Madhavan, 23, from Surakudi Street in DagaCheri, B Sena alias SenaAthi, 25, and Ezhilarasan, 22, both of Jalan Pathi on Jalan Pathi Araiyur.
During the investigation, it was revealed that previous hostility between Thamizharvan and Prime Suspect Rajkumar was the reason for the murder.
Rajkumar, a bastard, has a criminal case that was delayed against him at the Neveramangalam police station.
He was in prison in connection with a case and had come out on a recent guarantee, police said.
Rajkumar has a fight with one of the same village close relatives recently.
Thamizharvan intervened in this matter and has taken this problem to need the police to support used relatives.
Based on complaints, the police have arrested Rajkumar together with his brother.
Angered by the incident, Rajkumar has warned Thamizharvan terrible consequences, police said.
Rajkumar came out with a recent guarantee and carried out a crime along with his accomplice.
After the incident, relatives and supporters of Thamizharvan damaged the windshield from the government bus and harmed several two-wheeled vehicles parked in Neveramangalam forced the traders to close their shop on Wednesday.
To avoid unwanted incidents, around 800 police personnel have been deployed in and around the everamangaam bazaar since Wednesday.
