Kalyan: At least five workers injured after the stem used for the construction of the pillar for the Metro train collapsed in the city of Bhiwandi Maharashtra on Saturday afternoon.
What was injured was sent to a private hospital where there was a stable condition.
The accident occurred at 3pm opposite Maratha Punjab located in the Anjurphata area.
The Bhiwandi fire brigade team received a call about the incident at 3pm.
Immediately, the police, firefighting personnel and the Metro staff team reached into place.
MMRDA is doing a metro rail job between the Thane-Bhiwandi and Kalyan routes.
